Online registration through EventsOnline and Running Room is now open. Entry fees above do not include the processing fee.

Registration fees may be paid by AMEX, VISA or MasterCard and a confirmation email will be sent immediately.

Registration fees for the Island GirlHalf Marathon INCLUDE the round-trip ferry fee.

The deadline for online registration is midnight on Wednesday, September 18th.

Race Kit Pickup

Race kit pick up takes place at the Westin Harbour Castle Convention Centre, 11 Bay Street, Toronto, steps from the ferry docks and directly across the street from the Westin Hotel.

Pick up dates and times:

Friday, September 20 from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Saturday, September 21 from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

You may pick up a race kit for your friend provided you have a copy of their confirmation or a letter signed by them.

Race kits will also be available for pick up on race day on the island HOWEVER, expect there to be a line up and leave yourself plenty of time to pick up your race kit and drop off your baggage. Take the earlier ferry.

Venue Information

Getting to the Island is easy! The 10-minute ferry ride from downtown takes you to a tranquil community with an Island way of life. The 550-acre island park made up of several small islands makes for a unique race course and venue.

The Toronto Ferry Dock is located at the foot of Bay Street and Queens Quay, just west of the Westin Harbour Castle. Participants will board the ferry to Centre Island.

Gardiner Expressway to Downtown Toronto
Eastbound Exit at Spadina (if Eastbound) or
Sherbourne/Jarvis (if Westbound)
Travel South to Queens Quay
Take Queens Quay towards Bay St
The Toronto Island Ferry Docks are behind the Westin Harbour Castle at Queens Quay/Bay St
Catch the ferry to Centre Island

Parking

Parking is available one block north at Lakeshore and Bay, one block west on Queens Quay between Bay and York Street, one block east opposite the Toronto Star building, adjacent to Captain Johns restaurant.

Course Information

Flat and fast, two loop course on Toronto Island. Completely traffic-free!

Each kilometre will be accurately marked and aid stations will be approximately 100 metres after the designated kilometre mark.

The course will remain open for 3 1/2 hours.

Strollers and baby joggers are not permitted during the race. This is not fair and unsafe for your fellow participants in the race.

Aid Stations

Aid stations will be located approximately 3K, 6K, 10K, 13K, 16K and 20K and will serve Gatorade followed by water. Vaseline and band aids will be available at each aid station. Portable toilets will be located at each aid station and at the start and finish.

Race Day Information

Start/finish Line

Dry and secure baggage check will be available. There are plenty of change facilities and washrooms at the start line. Leave yourself time to check your gear.

Post Race Party

The InfraRed Band will be sending off the participants with a lively Caribbean beat. They will keep the party going until the racers return.

Post race food, including tropical fruit and refreshments will be available to all participants.

Awards/Prizing

Finishers in the Island Girl Half Marathon will receive a fun, island-themed medal

Prizing will be awarded to the top 10 overall in the Island Girl Half Marathon. There will be no Masters prizing or age group prizing.

The Westin Harbour Castle is once again the host hotel for race weekend. Conveniently located right at the ferry docks, the Westin Harbour Castle is a 4 diamond retreat right in the heart of downtown Toronto.
